My 3rd grade teacher was a victim of cancer and what made her so memorable was that she didn't hide the fact that she had cancer. She told us she had cancer on our first day of school, she explained why she was never at school on Fridays (chemo treatment), and she even took off her wig that she wore. Today she's cleared, and even though I'm a junior in high school, I remember her for her strength and keeping a positive attitude even in the worst conditions.
I wear pink proudly for her and want to help other women to inspire other girls like my teacher did.
